How to Watch U.S. Championships: Men's Free Skate: Stream Figure Skating Live, TV Channel
The U.S. Championships will conclude on Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, but not before the men take the ice one last time for the free skate portion of their competition. Defending champion, 19-year-old Ilia Malinin, will be looking to repeat this year, and in doing so, will also be looking to capture the world title in the next few months. Malinin made headlines throughout the skating world last season as the first male to land a quad axel, and did it multiple times throughout the season. He tried it in the Grand Prix this season, landing it in the short but missing it in the free program. Malinin currently sits in first place after the short program with a score of 108.57.

Malinin holds a commanding lead and it would take more than one catastrophic mistake for him to not win gold. The next closest in scoring is Maxim Naumov who finished the short program with a score of 89.72. Following closely behind Naumov is Jason Brown who scored an 89.02. Andrew Torgashev is exactly one point behind Brown with an 88.02. While it seems like the top of the podium is locked up by Malinin, the race for silver is very much still in high pursuit.
Tune in Sunday afternoon to see if Brown is able to hold on to the second place position or if one of these other talented men can bump him out of medal contention.
